Cancer treatment asks a lot of the body. It asks even more of the person living through it. That’s why Whole Health Oncology built THRIVE, a wellness program woven into your care from the moment your treatment plan is created through the years that follow.
THRIVE stands on four pillars: education, support, recovery, and community. We offer one-on-one and group classes on nutrition, yoga, meditation, breathwork and habit formation. Together, they give you the tools to carry the physical and emotional weight of treatment, not as an add-on, but as part of the same standard of care you receive from Dr. Bashir and her team.

Meg Dennis, our THRIVE Program Director, is your partner through the program. Every patient begins with a one-on-one discovery call with Meg, a relaxed conversation about your history, your needs, and the tools that will help most.
1: Your Discovery Call: Every new patient begins with a one-on-one conversation with Meg Dennis, our THRIVE Program Director, about your history, your needs, and the tools that will help most.
2: Your THRIVE Plan: Your wellness support is built alongside your treatment plan, from prehab before surgery through recovery, so the two always work together.
3: Ongoing Support: Weekly classes, monthly workshops, community gatherings, and check-ins carry you through treatment and into survivorship. Support doesn’t end when treatment does; THRIVE is also our survivorship program.
Understanding your diagnosis, knowing what to expect from treatment, and building confidence through knowledge are all part of healing. THRIVE gives you access to clear, practical information at every stage so you never feel like you’re navigating the unknown alone.
You’ll have a trusted guide who knows your story and walks beside you through the whole journey, not just during appointments. From one-on-one conversations to resources when you need them, support is built into your care from day one.
Healing extends well beyond the end of surgery or the last treatment session. THRIVE addresses recovery of both the mind and the body through movement, nutrition guidance, breathwork, and sleep support, all designed to help you feel stronger and more like yourself again.
You don’t have to do this alone, and at Whole Health Oncology, you won’t. THRIVE brings women together through classes, workshops, and peer connection, including the Woman-to-Woman Program, which pairs patients with others who’ve shared the same diagnosis and come out the other side.
Gentle, restorative movement classes welcome women at any stage of treatment or recovery, and no prior experience is needed. Classes are slow-paced, supportive, and designed to be accessible to everyone, with chair yoga for those who need additional support.
Breathwork, meditation, and sound healing help you manage the stress, anxiety, and emotional weight that so often accompany a cancer diagnosis. These practices have real, evidence-supported benefits for calming the nervous system, improving sleep, and helping patients feel more grounded and present in their daily lives.
Practical, realistic nutrition guidance helps you navigate appetite changes, fatigue, and the challenge of building sustainable healthy habits during and after treatment. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s finding an approach that genuinely works for your body and your life right now.
Classes, workshops, and group gatherings create space for connection with other women who understand exactly what you’re going through. Community is one of the most powerful parts of healing, and it’s something Whole Health Oncology is deeply committed to fostering.
The Woman-to-Woman Program connects patients who’ve been through the same type of gynecologic cancer diagnosis with women who are newly navigating it. If you’ve just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, we can pair you with someone who has been through it and found their way to the other side. This kind of peer connection is something clinical care alone can’t provide, and it’s one of the things we’re most proud of offering here.
A trusted guide who knows your story walks beside you at every step, not just during appointments. One-on-one support is available to help you process, plan, and feel less alone throughout your journey. That support extends into the exam room, too: if exams or appointments bring anxiety, guided breathing support is available anytime, just ask any member of our team.
Can’t make it into the office as often as you’d like? The THRIVE Program can be done anywhere. Our monthly wellness workshop is available virtually by appointment, THRIVE Monthly delivers class schedules and practical tools to your inbox, and a growing library of guided breathing, meditation, and gentle movement resources is on the way. Distance and treatment schedules should never keep you from the support you deserve.
Not at all. THRIVE support is available at every stage, whether you’re newly diagnosed, preparing for surgery, in recovery, or years into survivorship.
