At Whole Health Oncology, we provide expert gynecologic cancer care through compassionate, personalized treatment tailored to each woman’s unique diagnosis, needs, and goals. Conveniently located in St. Augustine, Florida, we proudly serve women throughout Northeast Florida, including Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Palm Coast, Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, Fleming Island, Orange Park, Daytona Beach, and surrounding communities.
Our whole-person approach combines advanced surgical expertise, evidence-based cancer therapies, multidisciplinary collaboration, and integrative wellness support through our THRIVE Program to deliver comprehensive care at every stage of the cancer journey.
Every patient benefits from fellowship-trained surgical expertise, evidence-based treatment planning, and a biweekly tumor board review that ensures no decision is made without the full weight of a multidisciplinary team behind it.
That’s the clinical foundation, but what makes this practice genuinely different is everything that surrounds it. Our integrated THRIVE Program weaves wellness services, one-on-one lifestyle and nutrition guidance, and the Woman-to-Woman peer mentorship program directly into your care.
The team here believes that getting through cancer is only part of the story: thriving after it is the goal.
Like the monstera leaf, which adapts and flourishes in the harshest environments, our patients embody resilience, strength, and the ability to thrive through treatment.
THRIVE is Whole Health Oncology’s integrative wellness and survivorship program, woven into every patient’s care from diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and the years that follow. Built on four pillars, education, support, recovery, and community, THRIVE brings together yoga and movement classes, breathwork, meditation and sound healing, nutrition guidance, wellness workshops, and one-on-one support from our THRIVE Program Director, Meg Dennis. These are not extras. They are part of your care.
Whole Health Oncology accepts most major insurance plans. Because every patient's coverage is a little different, we encourage you to give us a call before your first visit so our team can walk you through what to expect.
At most oncology practices, patients move through a system that's built for efficiency rather than connection. At Whole Health Oncology, we were founded on a different premise entirely.
Dr. Shazia Bashir is a double board-certified gynecological oncologist surgeon with fellowship training at Columbia University and Cornell University and a residency at Johns Hopkins University. She built this practice because she believed women with gynecologic cancer deserved something more than the standard model of care.
What that looks like in practice is cutting-edge gynecologic cancer care and evidence-based medicine delivered in an environment that's intentionally personal, unhurried, and designed to make patients feel comfortable.
